The Shades is based in Umhlanga Rocks, corner Weaver Crescent and Lagoon Drive, behind the Cabana Beach Hotel. This is a second floor, two bedroom (two doubles), two bathroom unit (en suite and shower). This apartment has a small balcony, open plan lounge and dining area and kitchen with fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, crockery and cutlery. The unit has ceiling fans, DSTV, washing machine, linen is provided however beach and bath towels are not. The access to the unit is up two flight of stairs, there is one undercover parking, one open parking and parking for trailers. The beach access is next to the Cabana Beach Hotel. The unit is serviced Monday to Saturday (excl. Public Holiday). The complex offers 24 hour security, laundry facilities and swimming pool.
